The Show Must Go On
The past few months have presented new and unprecedented challenges for everyone across the globe with the spread of COVID-19. As we face these events, it gives us all the opportunity to eventually bounce back better and stronger than ever. Our families, friends, colleagues, and communities will push through these times and bond like they never have before.
We want to say a huge thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, medical staff, first responders, and everyone in between who is assisting in combatting this disease. Your hard work, bravery, and dedication to helping others is appreciated by us all. You are real life heroes.
In all circumstances, the safety, health, and well-being of our attendees, Vendors, Performers, Volunteers, Special Guests, and Organisers is our highest priority. Currently, the guidance given by the Australian Government limits non-essential indoor gatherings to a maximum of 100 people. Additionally, anyone travelling or returning to Australia from overseas must self isolate themselves upon entering the country. These stipulations are currently in place for the next 6 months.
AliCon 2020 is set to be held from 2-4 October 2020 at the Latvian Hall in Adelaide, South Australia. These dates are more than 6 months from the start date of the new regulations put in place by the Australian Government, and therefore are currently free from affect by the stipulations. As a result, at this stage, AliCon 2020 will run and function as planned. We are taking great measures and monitoring current events to ensure all at the convention have a safe and wonderful time at our convention.
Friendship and community are both very important to us. We understand that times of uncertainty can be tough, so we want to do all we can to ensure once this situation is all over, we can put on an event that allows the AliCon family to come together and celebrate the strength, courage, and love all of us share.
